ADAMS has maintained close relation and cooperation with some renowned institutions from home and abroad i.e Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna University (KU), Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Shiga, and Osaka, International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), International Centre for Climate Change & Development (ICCCAD) for action research and Development. One of the best interventions of this partnership is ADAMS has invented & developed a low price Arsenic Removal Filter which secure accreditation certificate from the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), only mandated institute of Bangladesh.
Khulna University, ADAMS and CASEED jointly have launched a project with the support of Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) to improve. The overall objective of the research project is to identify suitable exotic and local forage cultivars, develop improved production practices, determine nutritive value of the selected cultivars and develop technology packages for cultivation in the fallow land (both permanent and current) as well as relaying with rice and other major crops in salinity affected area of southwest costal region (Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira district) in order to enhance productivity and production of green forages attributing in livestock production of the area.
A scoping survey has been conducted under the project titled “Multi-Actor Partnership (MAP) on Climate related loss and Damage, Supporting the Establishment of the National Mechanism on L&D in Bangladesh”. The project has been designed to identify climate migrants, their problems and need identification through scoping survey which will then be discussed with local key actors to find the best feasible solutions for vulnerable communities to deal with climate change impact and incorporate these learnings in to the establishment of national mechanism in Bangladrsh. The survey was participated by 450 respondent representing climate migrants in Khulna City Corporation who were displaced from different climate vulnerable coastal areas of Satkhira, Bagerhat, Khulna and Barisal district. The data collected from selected climate migrants’ households of different wards of Lobonchora, Sonadanga, Khalishpur and Daulatpur thana area under Khulna City Corporation.
